Public Notice: Reinstatement Hearing

On February 26, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the CPSM office located at 1000-1661 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, a panel of the CPSM Executive Committee will hear an application by Dr. Amir Houshang Mazhari Ravesh to have his Certificate of Practice reinstated. 

Background

On January 28, 2021, the Executive Committee cancelled Dr. Ravesh’s Certificate of Practice pursuant to section 48(3) of The Regulated Health Professions Act because he was convicted of six counts of sexual assault respecting six separate women patients; all convictions arose out of clinical encounters with these patients. The Registrar is opposing Dr. Ravesh’s reinstatement application.

Open to the Public

The reinstatement application is pursuant to Practice Direction - Reinstatement Application, which states, (7.1.) The reinstatement hearing shall be open to the public, subject to the right of Executive Committee to order that the public be excluded from all or part of the hearing.
