This page contains information about what registrants must consider when retiring from the professional practice of medicine. The information is intended to offer practical guidance for ensuring safe practice and good continuity of care for patients.
Registrants, including Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Clinical Assistants, who are planning for their retirement are advised to review the following Standards of Practice:
Notice of an intention to retire must be communicated to CPSM as soon as possible.
Registrants are encouraged to seek information or advice about retiring from practice from the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA), or Doctors Manitoba if you are a member of either organization.
