Patient Enrollment
CPSM has received concerns that registrants may be inappropriately enrolling (rostering) patients at their clinics despite not being the patients' primary care provider.
Enrolling patients comes with the expectation of an ongoing relationship between the patient and provider. De-enrolling a patient from another practice to enroll them at your practice can create challenges for them and may cause billing issues for the providers involved.
While billing is a Manitoba Health issue, if a concern is raised regarding a registrant rostering or de-rostering patients, we are obliged to address those concerns.
