Hearing dates are posted as they are confirmed and are subject to being rescheduled or cancelled.
The Regulated Health Professions Act (122(5) and 123 (1)) prohibits the reporting of anything which may identify a registrant charged (including the name, name of clinic or partnership, location of practice, etc.) unless and until the Panel makes a finding against the registrant. If the Panel orders, a complainant or any witness may only be identified by initials.
Hearing Decision
A panel of the Inquiry Committee of CPSM met on October 15, 2024, at CPSM offices, 1000-1661 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba to convene and conduct a hearing in accordance with Part 8 of the RHPA. The Inquiry Panel found that Dr. Daljit Singh Gill:
- was guilty of multiple counts of professional misconduct,
- contravened CPSM Bylaws, Standards of Practice of Medicine, and the Code of Ethics,
- displayed a lack of skill, knowledge, and judgment in the practice of medicine, and
- demonstrated an unfitness to practice medicine.
The Panel’s orders include a reprimand, a six (6) month suspension to commence at a later date, a fine, practice restrictions, remediation requirements, and costs.
The Inquiry Panel’s written reasons for the decision will be posted when they become available in accordance with subsection 128(1) of The Regulated Health Professions Act.
